Wild Flowers Styled Wedding Shoot

13.image1.5finalLast week our styled wedding shoot from the summer was featured on the fantastic The English Wedding Blog. Annabel Hornsby was inspired by the floral crowns worn by lots celebs at the summer festivals so we decided to put together a shoot with soft hairstyles to compliment the wild flower crowns by Flower Field Hampshire but to amp up the eye makeup to keep the look current. We had the gorgeous backdrop of Warborne Farm with the talented OK! photographer Abi Chadwick at the helm.  Exquisite Brides supplied stunning Stephanie Allin and Claire Pettibone dresses for brides as well as the hugely popular Two Birds dresses for bridesmaids. My sister Sophia Ghwedar created chic manicures showing that deep plums can work just as well as nudes for weddings, and the finishing touch was added with beautiful handmade jewellery courtesy of Sarah Hickey.

Below is a breakdown of the look I created on our gorgeous model Isca.

I prepped Isca’s skin with with Creme De La Mer Moisturising Cream and used YSL Touche Eclat Foundation as a light base. To conceal I used a mixture of colours from my Bobbi Brown University Palette. We wanted a soft youthful look so I contoured and highlighted using Tom Ford’s Shade and Illuminate. I only used a very small amount of loose powder on the t-zone to take away shine.

Isca had amazing full bows so I kept them soft and brushed through with some clear mascara to hold them in place.

I wanted to keep the emphasis on the eyes so stained her lips with a rosebud shade mixed with a little balm.

The focal point of this look was the eyes so we went for a rich purple by layering products.  I started by prepping the eyelids with Nars Smudge Proof Eyeshadow Base and followed with Laura Mercier Cavier Stick Eye Colour in Plum . To intensify the colour I applied YSL Pure Chromoatics Eyeshadow No 6 purple shade over the top. To open the eyes I used a white pencil liner on the waterline and highlighted the inner corners of the eyes with the bronze shade from the YSL palette . To finish off I curled the lashes, applied mascara  and added a set of my favorite lashes Eylure Nicola Roberts.

For Isca’s hair we didn’t use a floral crown, instead we built one into her halo braid using loose wild flowers. This is so easy to to and can personalize and add something special to most bridal hairstyles.

Hope you like the look xx
